剧情简介

中国有句俗语：“江山易改，本性难移。”人如果真正干上了某一行，要让他彻底放弃是很困难的事情。于是，我们看到当年已经39岁“高龄”的马特乌斯还到美国继续他的足球梦，已经37岁的费拉拉现在还出现在尤文图斯的阵容中；我们看到已经满身伤病的罗伯特·巴乔屡屡推迟他的退役时间，迟迟不肯说“再见”；于是我们看到已经挂了靴的马拉多纳、舒梅切而等人，耐不住没有足球的寂寞，不惜食言“重出江湖”。作为一名盗贼，更是如此，只要你入了这行，要想“金盆洗手，退隐江湖”就真的是太难了。
　　三年前，在拉斯维加斯成功地从为富不仁的赌场老板特瑞·班尼迪克特(安迪·加西亚饰)那里盗窃1.6亿美元之后，以丹尼·奥申(乔治·克鲁尼饰)为首的“十一罗汉”各奔东西，从此在江湖上销声匿迹。而三年后的今天，丹尼再次召集了旧部，“十一罗汉”时隔三年后再次重现江湖，再加上丹尼三年前从特瑞·班尼迪克特身边夺来的娇妻苔丝(朱莉娅·罗伯茨饰)，组成了新的“十二罗汉”，他们准备再干一票大的买卖。“十二罗汉”的目标是三件分别在三个不同地点的东西，它们是在荷兰阿姆斯特丹的世界上第一张股票，在法国巴黎卢浮宫内的“卢浮宫三宝”之一的《蒙娜丽莎》，以及在意大利罗马的一颗硕大无比的钻石。
